Recently, I shared with a friend that I take certain days off– just for me, as ‘personal days of observation’— what I call a #pdoo (I sure hope this catches on!)
These are different from mental health days, or days we take away from work due to a current life event or illness.
Personal days of observation are days to dive into and explore the psychological, emotional, and spiritual aspects of something major that happened in your life. These are not national events, but deeply personal ones– the ones that rocked your soul and brought you to your knees.
No one can prescribe these days for you– or tell you what you should or should not grieve or explore. These are sacred days of surrender and allowance– when you consciously invite the grace of God to lead you and show you what you most need to see.
